Nathaniel watches Asher go, and then snuggles down into the bed, surrounded by Asher's scent. He cuddles Asher's pillow and closes his eyes as he waits for his vampire to come back.

Fourth mark or no, Nathaniel is content to be Asher's until death takes him, in whatever capacity his vampire will allow him.
