Asher nods, sitting up to pick up the silver-backed hairbrush that's still sitting on the side of his bed from earlier in the day, taking a thin section of Nathaniel's hair and carefully beginning to brush it smooth, until it lies like polished copper across Nathaniel's shoulder.

"Yes. The second is still fresh, it will take a few hours to settle, but we now share two marks." He smiles at the thought.
