Jason is doing his best to keep up, and he's doing fairly well, but it's already apparent that his decline into cocaine has affected more than his figure. He's moving almost clumsily, forgetting some moves and completely botching others.
When he loses his balance on a turn, he slams a palm to the floor in frustration. "Christ, it's only been a month or so! You'd think I'd never danced before."
